Frequently Asked Questions

How is monthly pay calculated from annual?

Annual salary is divided by 12 to get monthly pay. This gives an equal monthly amount, even though some months have more working days than others.

What is biweekly pay?

Biweekly pay is what you earn every two weeks. It is calculated as annual salary divided by 26 (52 weeks / 2). Note that biweekly pay results in 26 paychecks per year, not 24.

Why can I change hours per week?

Not everyone works 40 hours. Adjusting this setting lets part-time workers, overtime earners, or non-standard schedules get accurate conversions between hourly and annual figures.
